An optimistic play about hell on earth? What the…! Stuart Slade, local playwright from Putney has written a play set in the aftermath of a plane being shot down over Fulham and what happens next from the viewpoint of six young Londoners. Opening at Theatre503 this week and you can hear all about it on Monday night’s show.

Once there was a time when there was no Facebook, sexting and nobody outside of Japan had eaten sushi.  What did us girls spend our time doing?  We read “Jackie” and it’s not been turned into a musical.  Ian Barclay went along to rehearsals – or was it to get dating advice? You’ve got the great big sound of Balham Ukulele Society playing at the Croydon Uke Fest last weekend (5th and 6th March). Hear them open their eight song set with Plastic Jesus, performed on Sunday afternoon, at Croydon’s Green Dragon pub. Brought to you by fellow uke fiend Bev Boyd. So twang your thang and strum along on Wednesday night.
