‘Anything is Possible’ on Riverside Radio!

Riverside Radio is working with Providence House Youth Club to broadcast the Y.E.S ‘Young Entertainment Showcase’ tomorrow, Tuesday 7th April, from 7pm after the planned concert at The Clapham Grand was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Y.E.S project is run by Providence House, a christian youth and community centre which has been working in Battersea for over 50 years. After holding a series of auditions in January the team have been working with a cast of 35 young performers, aged between 13 to 25. They have held regular creative workshops in vocal training, rap and song writing, dance, filming and editing.

The aim of the Y.E.S project is to showcase emerging talent by hosting concerts and other performance events to encourage young people to perform and develop their creative skills.

After the postponement of the scheduled concert due to the coronavirus outbreak, Riverside Radio stepped in to broadcast a 75 minute show presented by CAPITAL XTRA host REMEL LONDON…

Remel said “We were planning the live show at The Clapham Grand but due to coronavirus we have recorded a show to entertain and inspire you all in lockdown. Due to this change of plan weve had to record some tracks remotely which as you can imagine has been a challenge! This has meant young people recording in their rooms and on their phones and a lot of late night editing!

Listeners also have a chance to win a pair of Apple AirPods too, exclusively by tuning in to the show tomorrow night  Tuesday 7th April at 7pm online at or ask your smart speaker to “Play Riverside Radio”.
The Y.E.S project was funded by a number of organisations including Wandsworth Council, the Wimbledon Foundation, Battersea Crime and Prevention Panel, The London Community Foundation, Battersea United Charities, Battersea Rotary Club.
