Creative, Cultural and it’s coming our way!

Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2017 is open for registrations now.  If you want to be part of an arts event that showcases exciting and experimental work, there’s a place for all art-forms in this festival which runs this year from 5-21 May. Find out more or Register now before 30 January 2017.

Until then, there’s plenty coming up on ArtsWatch, and here’s what you can hear this week.

“BU21” written by Putney playwright Stuart Slade opened at Theatre503 last year, but it’s now transferred to the Trafalgar Studios in Central London.  So, we thought it was worth reminding ourselves of what he had to say before the play had hit the big time – another success for Theatre503.  Listen in on Monday.

You don’t need to wait for the Edinburgh Festival to get you comedy fix, it’s happening on your doorstep here in Wandsworth.  Chris and Caitlin speaks to the comedy commissioner at Battersea Arts Centre on Tuesday night’s show.

Jean met a local author, Minna Howard, to find out more about her book “Mothers & Daughters” and you can hear what it takes to write a novel on Wednesday night.

Sian Rowland whose play “Gazing At A Distant Star” has its world premiere at Greenwich Theatre talks to Ian on Thursday night.  Billed as a moving new play about those who go missing, and those who are left behind, it runs from Jan 13 to Jan 29.

This Sunday 8th January you can listen to the best bit of the past two weeks of ArtsWatch by tuning in at 6pm to ArtsWatch Replay.

ArtsWatch airs Monday-Thursday after the 6.30pm news.  If you have something you want us to cover, please drop me a line
