Submit your photos for the My Balham & Tooting 2016 photographic competition to take part in a local living history competition.  Judged by local photographers, the winners’ work will form an exhibition at Balham Library and be part of a living history photo book.  There are 3 age groups for judging…listen in on Monday to hear what gave the idea.

Yes I’ve dug into our memory banks to dig out an interview from October 2015.  Why is that?  Well I met local playwright Jon ROTTERDAMBrittain to ask him about his new play that was opening at the time at Theaatre503 in Battersea, “Rotterdam”.  And what’s happened since then? It’s only gone and transferred to the West End.  Listen to my interview with him on Tuesday.

Jim pops up on Wednesday night to tell us about the swish Bright Young Things Film Club over in Nine Elms.

little bulb at battersea arts centreIt got 4 stars in the Times Review, but we were there first to witness Little Bulb’s Extravaganza Macabre opening show at the new Courtyard Theatre at Battersea Arts Centre.  Remember The Raspberry Blower of Old London Town (you’d have to remember the Two Ronnies to get this).  Well it’s a bit like that but with a dog!

ArtsWatch broadcasts 6.45-7pm Monday-Thursday after the news.  The next ArtsWatch Replay show, a round-up of a fortnight of the best bits, will be on Sunday 7th August  at 6pm.
