Happy Birthday to us….

Happy Birthday to us….

On Tuesday January 12th Wandsworth Radio celebrates one year on air.

Station director Jason Rosam says “It’s been an incredible experience launching and running a local radio station for Wandsworth”

“We’ve had over 200 brilliant volunteers creating a diverse mix of music, art, comedy, drama and speech based radio shows and local news and sport coverage. I’m extremely proud of the volunteers for working so hard this year to establish the station as part of the community and fulfilling our aim of celebrating our borough.”

Wandsworth Radio has been a big success in its first year with over 35,000 unique listens to the station since launching on January 12th 2015. Every month around 3,500 people tune in to the station online at and on the TuneIn radio listening app for smart phones and tablets.

To celebrate the first year we are launching ‘The World in Wandsworth’ project.

Wandsworth boasts one of the most diverse populations in the UK. We want to celebrate this by highlighting the people who come from all over the world but have chosen to make Wandsworth their home.

If you are a resident of Wandsworth and you were born outside the UK Wandsworth Radio would like to speak to you. You’ll be interviewed by one of the stations volunteers and your photograph taken to form part of a special page on the radio station website which aims to document all the nationalities in the borough.

If you want to take part please email

These special interviews will be played out on Wandsworth Radio throughout the year and they’ll also be online for anyone to listen at
