Let the West End come to Wandsworth…

Sohm Kapila of Bend it Like Beckham and Britain’s Got Bhangra takes the lead role of Jack at Tara Art’s Theatre Christmas Show, “Bollywood Jack”.

Sohm speaks to us on Monday’s ArtsWatch and gives us a little snippet of how the worlds of Panto and Bollywood collide in a spectacular and creative way in Bollywood Jack.  You don’t have to travel to Zone 1 for your Christmas treat…it’s all here on your doorstep at Tara Arts Theatre in Earlsfied until 7th January. bolly-1

If you can imagine the Andrews Sisters doing a version of Earthquake by Labrinth then you’re on the road to understanding the Bailey Dolls who bring their ‘Christmas Cheers’ baileydollsvintage cabaret to The Bedford in Balham later this month. They came into Wandsworth Radio to give us a taster, so listen in on Tuesday.

When Damien went to the Streets London Jazz festival at the Trafalgar Arms in Tooting Broadway to soak up some quality live music, he hoped he’d get an interview.  In fact he got two! You can hear his interview with local group the Squelch Quartet, as well as the international jazz solo artist Adam Ben Ezra on Wednesday.damien-the-streets-london-jazz-festival

How does the Battersea Arts Centre programme its comedy? Chris and Caitlin find out on Thursday’s show.
