TEDxWandsworth launches ‘Be the Change’ video competition

The countdown to TEDxWandsworth has started as speakers from around the borough are preparing to present the ‘talk of their lives’ on the theme ‘Be the Change’ at South Thames College on 14 November.

Wandsworth Radio, media partner to TEDxWandsworth, will be there on the day to capture the buzz and will interview speakers. We will also find out how Creative Industry students and teachers at South Thames College have played a big role in providing technical and stage design support for the event.

With tickets sold out the organisers have launched a video competition so local Wandsworth people can get involved with the day and with this year’s theme ‘Be The Change’.

TEDxWandsworth organiser Amman Abid said: “We really want to get local people engaged with TEDxWandsworth. It’s your forum to talk about ‘Be The Change’ and to also be in with a chance to win tickets to the event.”

To enter, simply say how what does ‘Be the Change’ mean to you, your community or organisation and upload the video on Twitter @tedxwandsworth not forgetting the hashtag #TEDxBeTheChange”. The two winners will have their video professionally edited and showcased at the event.”

For details on how to enter the competition or to find out about the speakers, visit the website:, or search for TEDxWandsworth on Facebook.
