Over 40 years in the making, Jim Steinman’s musical ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ (@BatTheMusical) has finally hit the West End stage. Ian took the words out of the mouths of cast members, Dom Hartley-Harris  and Danielle Steers and you can listen in on Monday.

Punts at Theatre503 is about Antonia and Alastair, loving parents who hire a sex worker to take their disabled son’s virginity. You might not expect this, but it’s warm, well observed and hilarious – listen to my report on Tuesday.


Fairies abound down at the Omnibus in Clapham over the next couple of weeks.  Dark adult fairy tales from Ireland were on in Faerie Thorn last week and this we week, we move on to fairies’ meddling in Midsummer Night’s Dream.  This is Creation Theatre’s interactive adventure around the streets of Old Clapham.  Listen in to the double bill interview on Wednesday.


When being a barrister doesn’t fill your day, what do you do?  If you are Paul Purnell you decide to write a three volume book series about a fictional character called James Ballentyne.  I went to the launch of his first book The Kazak Contract and chatted to him and people in the audience.
