The ‘Young Producers’ are bringing their first festival to Royal Albert Hall.

Artswatch returns from its Easter break on Tuesday as Lesley meets Wandsworth Radio’s very own Rory Boyle. Rory has been part of a Young Producer programme at the Royal Albert Hall. He tells her about their 2-day event coming up on 6 & 7 April where fashion and music ‘Collide’ in a 2-day show of the same name. Rory is on the show from 6:30pm.

On Thursday, Tom King heads to the Battersea Arts Centre to see Beatbox Academy’s thrilling interpretation of Frankenstein, running until April 7th. He catches up with co-director Conrad Murray and performer nGermane Marvel and finds out how they’ve used beatboxing to turn Mary Shelley’s classic work into an exhilarating story about the perils of social media, smartphones and the ‘making of a monster’. Friday 6th April, join Hazel Butterfield live on Wandsworth Radio from 12pm as she is joined by Ania Diamond (below, right), a singer/songwriter who will be chatting about all of her music experiences including headlining Camden Rock! Hear all about it from 12 noon.

Then on Saturday 7th April, Steve will be chatting to Rachel Sinnetta and her Rubber band members on his Retro Chart show.  Rachel and her band are about to start a UK tour from April in their tribute to singer Kate Bush.  Rachel and some of the band members will be choosing some music for me to play. Hopefully Steve can persuade them to perform a song or two live in the Wandsworth Radio studio! He’s live from 8pm.
