Riverside Radio is about the community. It’s about celebrating South West London as the best and brightest place to live in London and getting local people involved.

All of the people at the station are volunteers. Since launching on air in 2015 hundreds of local people of all ages and from many diverse backgrounds have volunteered as presenters, newsreaders, producers and technical crew.
We want to develop everyone of our 200 volunteers so they can reach their full potential and for many the experience at Riverside has led to employment at the BBC and commercial broadcasters.

Our volunteers are given free training so they gain skills to be able to produce and present their own radio shows, write, read and report local news stories and establish technical capabilities
for various areas of our work.

We hold further training days for specific skills such as editing, writing for radio, interview technique or media law and invite professional broadcasters and journalists to offer advice, training and guidance.
