Riverside Radio is once again opening its doors to the media stars of tomorrow with the launch of the Riversiders Radio Club -a training programme designed for secondary school-aged young people in South West London.

An open day will take place on Monday 24th November at 4pm at our studio in Battersea, giving young people, parents and carers the chance to find out more and secure a place on the programme.

The club offers hands-on experience inside a real working radio station, where students will learn how to present, produce and create professional-standard radio and podcast content. Participants will develop key life skills including communication, confidence, creativity, teamwork and digital media skills - all while working directly with industry professionals.

The programme is run in partnership with Sound Vision, a charity dedicated to empowering young people of all abilities and backgrounds. Their experienced SEND-qualified trainers will support students as they build technical skills, grow their confidence and gain nationally recognised awards and qualifications.

The opportunity is open to all secondary school students 11 to 16 years of age, from complete beginners to aspiring media professionals. No previous experience is needed - just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

Students will also have the chance to feature on-air and across Riverside Radio’s social platforms, giving them real broadcast experience and strong material to support future education or employment pathways.
