Have you missed rummaging around charity shops during the pandemic?

Riverside Broadcasting CIC has joined forces with local charity shop chain Wandsworth Oasis for Charity Shop TV.

The first episode goes LIVE on YouTube and Facebook on Sunday 21st March at 11am.

Riverside presenter Fayon Dixon and Jason Rosam will take you through some stunning items including clothing, shoes, jewellery and the weird and wonderful. There’s only ONE of everything - so tune in and get your hands on it!

This is Riverside's first large scale television project with future episodes of Charity Shop TV planned and preparations for more locally based visual content such as news, sport and features becoming available on our YouTube channel.

Wandsworth Oasis and Riverside Radio have always worked together to provide services for our local community.

Wandsworth Radio was launched in 2015 in a small room above a charity shop in Battersea Park Road. Although the studios for this fledgling station were literally falling apart with leaks from the caved in roof and volunteers having to tackle climbing up three flights of wonky stairs to present their shows it was a wonderful first home.

We were welcomed into the Wandsworth Oasis store with open arms by Gill Perkins the CEO of a local charity which over the past few years has grown to an impressive ten shops across south west London, all raising funds to help other charities which support people living with HIV.

Radio station founder and director Jason Rosam joined the board of trustees at Wandsworth Oasis in 2016 and cemented a beautiful relationship between the radio station and the charity which continues today.

As all the shops closed in lockdown Jason came up with a way to sell some of the items which have been piling up and invented Charity Shop TV. We hope you enjoy it and spread the word.
