Riverside Radio has you covered for the local council elections across south west London this May.

Polling stations will open on Thursday 5th May for you to choose councillors to represent wards in all our four local councils, Richmond, Wandsworth, Merton and Lambeth.

Over the coming weeks Riverside Radio will be bringing you the very best election coverage. Every Friday night at 6pm during Riverside Reports, the team will be discussing issues that matter to us locally and interviewing council candidates from all political parties.

In April as we get closer to polling day we’ll be broadcasting special political debates with the leaders of the main parties hoping to control our town halls for five years. Our news editor Stephen Menon will be hosting the programmes which will be broadcast in front of a LIVE audience. If you are interested in submitting an application to join the studio audience and ask the candidates a question please contact us by emailing

THE WANDSWORTH DEBATE - Tuesday 19th April at Battersea Arts Centre 7pm

THE MERTON DEBATE - Tuesday 26th April at Merton Arts Space in Wimbledon Library 7pm

THE RICHMOND DEBATE - Wednesday 27th April at Arthur Bullen Room in Hampton Wick 7pm

As soon as the polls close at 10pm on Thursday May 5th the Riverside Radio news team will be up with you all night long bringing you interviews, live updates from our reporters at each of the counts, and the full results for each ward in Richmond, Wandsworth, Merton and Lambeth.

So please, email us with any questions you may have for the candidates, any problems or issues in your part of south west London you want us to shine a light on, or any grievances with the local council. Email -
