Every year Riverside Radio takes part in the switching on of Christmas across South West London and this year it's bigger annd better than ever before! 

So join us in our local town centres across the four boroughs, support local businesses and have some festive fun on the Riverside Radio stage at the following events....

FRIDAY 24th NOVEMBER - PUTNEY

Join us in PUTNEY with Positively Putney on Friday 24th November from 4-7pm as Children's Laureate Joseph Coelho switches on the Christmas Lights in St Mary's Church Sqaure.

Joseph grew up in and around Putney, and this year in celebration of his new picture book Luna Loves Christmas, a story trail featuring illustrations by Fiona Lumbers will take over Putney Town Centre during December.

5:40pm - Stage interview with Joseph Coelho, author and poet

6pm - Festive light switch on

6:10pm - Falcon School Chamber Choir

There will also be stalls from some of Putney's businesses to buy food, drinks and other goodies.

Join us for the official Christmas Lights Switch On and Twickmas Event Trail

Follow the Twickmas trail which will feature Christmas lights, 3 tree switch-ons, live entertainment, music on the Riverside Radio stage, Santa’s Grotto, an indoor market and an Xmas bazaar

SUNDAY 3rd DECEMBER - BALHAM

Join us in Balham at Bedford Hill Place just by the Sainsbury's Car Park to watch the Christmas lights switch on at the Christmas Tree.

Entertainment will be provided by local groups on the Riverside Radio stage with  carol singers from local churches and schools.

The festive lights will be officially switched on at 5pm.

TUESDAY 5th DECEMBER - BATTERSEA SQAURE

Come and join us from 6:30-7:30pm for a Community Event and switching on of the Christmas Lights in Battersea Square, SW11 3JB.

Community carol singing and Christmas music and brass band, mulled wine and mince pies, hot chocolate for children, Santa hats and much more!

The event will include music by St Mary's Brass Band and singing by the choirs of St Mary's Church, Westbridge School, and St John Bosco College. The event will also feature community stalls selling cakes and crafts. The festive lights will be officially switched on at 6.45pm.
