SWITCHING ON SW LONDON FOR CHRISTMAS

Riverside Radio is delighted to be hosting Christmas launch events across South West London again this year after we were sadly not able to bring much joy to town centres last year due to the pandemic.

Putney

Our presenters and technical team are working hard for our biggest festive event schedule ever starting in Putney Town Centre on Friday 19th November from 3.30pm for a Nutcracker themed Christmas light switch on. We’ll have an impressive line-up of performers from local Putney schools and drama groups. There will also be stalls featuring festive food and drinks. The Sugar Plum Fairy will perform the Nutcracker dance and officially switch on the lights at 5.50pm. More details here - http://positivelyputney.co.uk/

Twickenham

On Sunday 21st November the Riverside Radio roadshow stage is heading to Twickenham Town Centre for the very first time as we celebrate the lights being switched on by the Mayor of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the cast of the Exchange Theatre Twickenham’s Pantomime ALADDIN. The event kicks off at Midday with performances on stage from 2pm and the light switch on at 4.30pm. They’ll be market stalls, carol singing and lots of fun. Our stage will be at the top of Church Street outside Barclays Bank. More details here - https://discovertwickenham.co.uk/

Wandsworth

Also on Sunday 21st November our Kids Are Alright Show presenter Fayon Dixon is going to be hosting a special show from inside Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth as Christmas begins with the centres Make A Wish campaign. Watch out for the Elves behaving badly across Southside while you try and get some early Christmas shopping done. More details here - https://southsidewandsworth.com/

Clapham Junction

Clapham Junction is our next destination on Friday 26th November from 4pm. Do join the Riverside Radio team outside the Wetherspoons on the Lavender Hill / Falcon Road junction opposite Arding and Hobbs for some festive fun with a Gospel Choir singing carols and young people reading out poems. The lights get switched on at 6pm. More details here - https://visitclaphamjunction.com/
