Uber Boat by Thames Clippers Sponsors Riverside Breakfast

Riverside Radio is delighted to announce a major new partnership with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, which will become the title sponsor of the station's flagship breakfast programme.

From Monday, listeners will wake up to Riverside Breakfast with Jason Rosam and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, marking an exciting new chapter for two organisations with strong connections to the communities that line London's River Thames.

The partnership builds on a successful relationship that has developed over the past year, with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers sponsoring Riverside Radio's traffic and travel reports. Following the success of that campaign, the river transport operator has expanded its support to become the principal sponsor of the station's most popular programme.

The announcement comes during a period of exceptional growth for Riverside Radio. The breakfast show audience has grown significantly over the past two years since broadcaster Jason Rosam left the BBC to work at the station he founded more than a decade ago.

Originally launched as Wandsworth Radio in 2015, Riverside Radio has evolved into one of London's most successful community broadcasters, now reaching more than 85,000 listeners each week across South West London and beyond.

Jason Rosam, Managing Director of Riverside Radio and host of the breakfast show, said:

"We're incredibly proud to be strengthening our partnership with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers. They have been fantastic supporters of Riverside Radio over the last year and this feels like a natural next step for both organisations."

"The breakfast show has enjoyed tremendous growth, and we're excited to be working with a brand that shares our passion for connecting communities, celebrating London and providing an outstanding service to local people."

As London's leading river bus service, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers carries millions of passengers every year, offering a unique way to travel through the capital. From Putney and Battersea to Canary Wharf and Greenwich, the service has become an important part of London's transport network and a familiar sight along the Thames.

For Riverside Radio, whose very name reflects its connection to the river, the partnership is a particularly fitting one.

"The Thames connects so many of the communities we serve," Rosam added. "Whether you're travelling to work, exploring London or simply enjoying time by the river, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers plays a huge role in helping people experience the capital differently. We think our listeners will love seeing more of the partnership develop over the coming months."

The collaboration will extend beyond on-air sponsorship. Riverside Radio and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers are also working together on a brand-new podcast project that will tell stories from along the Thames, explore London's riverside communities and shine a spotlight on the people, places and experiences that make the river such an important part of life in the capital.

More details about the podcast will be announced later this year.

Listeners can expect to hear Uber Boat by Thames Clippers featured throughout the breakfast show, alongside travel updates, competitions, special broadcasts and exclusive experiences. The partnership will also see the two organisations collaborate on new content and projects that celebrate London's iconic river and the communities connected by it.

The first edition of Riverside Breakfast with Jason Rosam and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers airs on Monday 1 June from 7am to 10am, with listeners able to tune in online, via smart speaker and through the Riverside Radio app.
